MEET NICKY

Nicky is a certified Pilates instructor and yoga teacher with 1000+ collective hours of training and numerous qualifications.
She has extensive training in anatomy, yoga therapy, spine care, and pain and stress management. She has a passion for learning and is consistently working to develop her teaching skills and personal practice.

*Teaching Style

Gentle and functional in her approach, she provides a body-positive experience and brings encouragement, accessibility, and uniqueness to her classes. Expect an emphasis on spine and joint safety. Modalities include Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Yoga Therapy, MyoYin, AcuYin, Myofascial Release, and Pilates Mat.

*Spine-Safe

Spine hygiene is important through all stages of life. Treating our spines with care and compassion will not only benefit our physical bodies but also our mental health and energetic bodies. Many classic Pilates exercises and traditional yoga postures are unsuitable for those with spine pathologies. When taught mindfully, postures that risk damaging the structures of the spine can be modified, however, certain exercises can make some conditions worse, resulting in potentially negative or injurious drawbacks.

*The Functional Approach

In a functional and accessible approach we understand that everybody is different. Every bone, every sensation, every experience is unique. What is appropriate for one skeleton might be impossible for another. Our small group and tailored private classes enable sufficient individual attention and customized practices that make it safe for all unique bodies.

*Specialized Classes

Our classes include elements of yoga therapy and are based on a spine-safe and whole-person approach because it addresses every aspect of life rather than considering each body part or system separately. Specialized classes put emphasis on modifications and variations to suit every unique student, and to harmonize body, mind, and soul.

*Holistic Practitioner

Our bodywork and therapeutic applications for pain management and stress relief include Dorn Spinal Method, Acudetox Acupuncture, Acupressure, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Yogic Relaxation Therapy. Nicky is fully qualified in all therapy methods.

*Our Space

Our private, fully equipped boutique studio and therapy room is surrounded by nature and born from a desire to create a space for like-minded people seeking peace and tranquillity. Our studio has a maximum capacity of 6 to 8 students per group class, depending on the type of class. This allows for a more intimate and personalized experience and greater attention given to individual needs. Private classes can be arranged as one-on-one, duets, or small groups. For peace of mind, all classes need to be pre-booked to reserve your place.
